Why We Go to Babystacks Every Vegas/Henderson Visit

SUMMARY

This is definitely a nice off-strip stop for breakfast, brunch or lunch! They have Filipino and Hawaiian influences in their main dishes and their stacks are the only pancakes I eat (as someone that hates pancakes). Their menu includes pancakes such as: red velvet pancakes, bacon pancakes, banana cream pie, banana foster, carrot cake, cinnabun, cookies & cream, german chocolate, lemon ricotta, rocky road, s'mores, white chocolate chip macadamia nut and more. Their specialties and breakfast favorites include items such as: adobo fried rice, Portuguese fried rice, kalua grilled cheese, loco moco, Portuguese or spam sliders, biscuits and gravy, country fried steak and eggs, corned beef hash, kalbi beef ribs and eggs, kalua pig benedict, Hawaiian benedict (on hawaiian rolls with spam) and so much more!

I have been to 5 out of 6 Babystacks locations and started going to them when there were only 2 locations in 2012 and I don't live in Nevada. I am in town often and Babystacks is always a stop on the trip! One time, my husband and I drove straight from Phoenix to Henderson's Babystacks (they are only open until 3pm, so plan your trips accordingly).

THE STACKS

The stacks are delicious and I literally HATE pancakes! Absolutely indulgent. My favorite part is they are slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, like a fluffy cake with an outer crust. If you don't want it THAT sweet I've had friends order the toppings on the side as well. Always check the board too for their seasonal stacks! During COVID, I had them To Go and they were still pretty good. I've never actually tried to reheat them or take them home because they're just better fresh

LOLO'S CHICKEN ADOBO FRIED RICE

It is chicken adobo fried rice wrapped in an egg and it's HUGE! I add cholula on mine, for an amazing added flavor. It also reheats VERY well and is quite large, so I usually order this with an upgrade to whichever flavored stack I'd like and eat mostly the stack and save this for the next day! I will say there is a bit of inconsistency with the amount of meat:rice ratio at times, although it's been MUCH better with my most recent stays

THE UPGRADES

Overall, I am impressed with their pricing on adding on any of their Babystacks to an entree. However, if you get carried away on your order, you may not notice how many extra upgrades were added. For instance, the breakfast favorites come with: buttermilk babystacks OR toast and steamed rice OR potatoes. With upcharges for garlic rice, upgrading to a flavored babystack and subbing egg whites. My mom ordered Portuguese Sausage and eggs with garlic rice and toast and upgraded her Babystacks and there was a bit of confusion on how her meal came out to significantly more than she had expected. When my mom asked for clarification, she got quite a bit of heat from the waiter at the Henderson location. I have detailed this event in my Yelp review. Overall, though I have received fair service for every other dine I've had at Baby Stacks
