Bobsled and More at Olympic Park in Park City, Utah

Well this for sure was an absolute surprise. It was recommended by literally EVERYONE that found out we were going to Park City. Many friends told me that you could bobsled and you CAN but only during certain times of the year (winter bobsled starts Nov 27 until Jan 2)! However, we were lucky enough to watch the ski jumpers training!

Utah Olympic Park is the original site for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games which they have now converted into a museum, training facility as well as a whole slew of adventure activities: bobsled, zipline, canyon course, discovery course, extreme tubing, alpine slide and airbag jumps.

BOOKING A TOUR - NOT REQUIRED

Booking a tour is NOT required. You can just go to the facility and decide if you want to book the tour. Since, we couldn't bobsled and we were only in town for a short time, I booked ahead through their website. I would say that booking ahead of time just depends what all you plan to do and can do at the time that you go. The museum is self-lead and there are bobsleds out in the atrium of the building that you can take pictures in.

WHAT YOU GET FOR THE TOUR

The guided tour is

  • $15 per adults (13yo and up)

  • $12 for Seniors and 12yo and under

As mentioned above, it is not required. I do recommend it as the tour guide takes you to the top of where the bobsleds launch and the high jump. Plus you learn the history and training required of these Olympians which is quite fantastic

WHAT'S NEARBY

We absolutely enjoyed our dinner at Butcher's Chop House and just walking down Main Street. There are some bonfire pits and plenty of places for you to stop and sit and just enjoy the view.
